Standard check in is available from 4pm until 8pm but we would be happy to organise check in outside this time by prior arrangement.
Check out is by 10am on the final day of your stay.
Enjoy a home cooked Cumbrian breakfast with locally sourced ingredients; eggs from the local farm and meats from a local supplier. Freshly brewed Fairtrade coffee and Yorkshire tea will accompany your breakfast and Heather also makes all the jams and marmalades to go with your toast!
Our spacious guest lounge is available for you to use throughout your stay. It has wonderful views of the mountains, Causey Pike and Cat Bells. It’s the perfect place to relax after a big day on the hills. There are also a selection of books and maps to inspire your adventures.
We have fantastic mountain views from both sides of the house. The front of the house has a spectacular view over Hope Park towards Causey Pike and Newlands Valley. Whilst the back of the house looks over Keswick town and to Lattrigg and Skiddaw. The best view in the house can be enjoyed from the Guest Lounge on the first floor and the Breakfast room.
WiFi is available for use during your stay and has a good signal throughout the house.
All rooms have facilities to make yourself a hot drink. A variety of teas, coffee and hot chocolate are provided.
Bringing your bikes? No problem, we can store these securely in our basement and provide access for you when required. After a muddy day riding we have facilities to clean and maintain your bike.
Had a wet day on the hill? No problem, dry all your wet kit in our drying room so you are ready to go the next day.
We have a wide collection of maps and guidebooks for the local area to inspire your adventures. You are welcome to borrow these during your stay at West View.
All rooms have modern ensuite bathrooms with great showers. We provide Egyptian cotton towels and locally sourced luxury toiletries from The Bathhouse of Ambleside.
We would be happy to provide you with a packed lunch for your day out. Just arrange it with us the evening before. There is an additional cost for this service.
Families are welcome to stay at West View. We are able to provide an additional child’s bed in some of our rooms. We would recommend that you give us a call or email so we can discuss prior to booking. This will help us to ensure that we can set your room to best suit your needs.
We don’t accept pets at West View. We do have our own dog, Rusty. Rusty is an Airedale Terrier and is happy to meet guests if you’d like!
